Loft Beds
Loft beds are the perfect beds for a teenagers or older elementary child's room. These beds offer many comfortable and space saving features allowing you to make an extremely small room seem larger and roomier or turn a child's bedroom into a haven of practical comfort.
In most cases the bed takes up a large portion of space in any bedroom. Too many times this leaves little space for the other necessary bedroom furniture such as dressers, desks and chairs. However, the special elevated design of loft beds allows you to use the space under the bed for storage desks and even comfortable seating arrangements. You can purchase loft bed sets with under the bed dressers, book cases and desks. While other models offer futons which can provide a comfortable place for your child to sit and can then be turned into a second bed for their overnight guests. There are several loft bed combinations that will help you creatively design a comfortable and great looking kids room while saving much needed space.
Platform Beds
Platform beds are becoming increasingly popular due to their sleek ultra modern designs. These beds save on the necessity of having a box spring giving these beds their contemporary looks. However, these wooden beds are much more than aesthetically pleasing they can also help save on the drudgery of cleaning or provide space saving features that you may be looking for.
Choosing a platform bed that has a solid bottom without legs allows the bed to sit directly on the floor which means that for the person who cleans the home, you are eliminating one problem cleaning area. It always seems as though dust, dirt and those stray socks find their way under the middle of those king and queen size beds which means that the person cleaning the room often has to practically lay on the floor to clean under the bed. By choosing a platform bed that sits directly on the floor, nothing can make it's way under the bed and cleaning the bedroom becomes much quicker and far easy than with a standard style bed with legs.
Other platform beds use that under the bed space for storage drawers giving you the ideal space to store those extra sheet and blankets or even those sweaters that simply won't fit in your closet. Under the bed storage allows you more storage room without taking up space or leaving your room look crowded.
