Trampoline Parts Purchasing Guide (2 of 2)

Here's part 2 of 2 for my purchasing guide to getting replacement trampoline parts that will actually fit your trampoline.  In part 1 you were able measure you frame size, mat size, spring size, and get the spring count for your trampoline.  In part 2 you will learn how to get pad width and pad size when purchasing a replacement trampoline pad.  You will also learn how to purchase the correct enclosure system or net for your trampoline.

Of course, just like in part 1 of this guide you needed exact specifications to purchase a correct replacement part.  The number one place to find information like that would be your owner's manual.  What if you don't have it anymore?  You will have to get the trampoline measurements the old fashioned way, actually measuring the parts.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR TRAMPOLINE PAD

When shopping around for replacement trampoline pads you will need to know two things, pad size and pad width.  Luckily, pad size is equivalent to trampoline frame size so you will only really need to measure pad width.  Pad width can be determined two different ways.  One, you can measure the distance from any end of the trampoline frame to the beginning of the trampoline mat.  Or, two, you can measure a panel's width of your old trampoline pad.  Trampoline pads are made to completely cover the trampoline's springs so be sure to purchase a trampoline pad with the width wide enough to cover the trampoline's springs.  If purchasing a replacement pad for a trampoline with an enclosure system be sure to note the amount of poles the system uses, these pads will have holes to accommodate for the poles.

ENCLOSURE SYSTEMS AND NETS

Both trampoline enclosure systems and nets are classified by trampoline frame size.  If you already know your trampoline frame size you will easily be able to purchase a compatible enclosure system or net.  Do note though, that additional information will be needed when shopping for a replacement net.  Along with frame size you will also need to know the pole count of your existing enclosure.  Just count the number amount of poles of your enclosure and there should be no problems.

Hopefully you now have that buyer's confidence when it comes to purchasing trampoline replacement parts.  Don't hesitate, but trust your newly acquired knowledge.
