If your PC has recently been curiously slow to respond or applications are freezing, you may be considering getting a new one. Before spending several hundred dollars or more on a new one, try these 4 proven and inexpensive fixes that takes 5 minutes each.
Fix # 1: Scrub your Hard Drive: Your computer has probably used a number of unnecessary files and occupy valuable space on your hard drive and slow performance. There are two effective solutions to this, both of which take just minutes. First, keep your PC running embedded in Disk Cleanup Utility to automatically delete these files, you can find it in the System Tools folder of your operating system. For a more complete solution, clean your hard drive with professional cleaning software. Try the excellent CCleaner, you can download from the Internet.
Fix # 2: Installing an anti-virus tool: Computer viruses are malicious programs that significantly affect performance of your computer, either at once or bit by bit over time. To overcome this problem, install antivirus software on your PC. He will conduct regular analysis, locating the relevant virus and quarantine them for you. Like the line of Symantec products, but there are a number of good ones out there.
Fix # 3: Clean your registry: The registry of your computer is a place you've ever seen. It is accessible, but most people have no reason to go in this because most of the files stored there are not easily readable unless you know what you are looking for. Register your work faithfully every day for you, storing user profiles, remembering important application settings, and even talking to your computer programs to run at startup. Over time, all computer records are damaged, slowing performance or makes your computer unstable. Fortunately, there are some great products available that will clean your registry for you. At the touch of a button or two, the software will scan and fix problems with your registry. I recommend RegCure, the scan also revealed that more than 1000 problems with my registry, the fix took less than 5 minutes.
Fix # 4: Run anti-spyware software: Spyware is malicious routines that are installed on your computer and do things like monitor your usage and generally rushed into operation. Spyware is a real problem today and shows no sign of going away. Fortunately, repairs are easy to find. I recommend the free SpyBot Search & Destroy. Trying to run at least 2 different anti-spyware applications to improve protection.
Each of these recommended patches is safe and takes no more than 5 minutes to run. Try them before shelling large sums on replacing your computer.
