Taekwondo Uniforms Olympic

A martial arts uniform is an essential part of self defense training for any student as part of their battle gear. The uniform is called gi, and usually comes in a white color or other colors as well.

There are different styles of uniforms but they will serve the same purpose and all are designed to be light, supple, and very much durable. This article will help find the best uniform for you.

Karate Your uniform will be called karategi or simple a gi. Most gi's are made form canvas and are light and tough. The gi was developed form the Judo uniform but the Judo uniform is heavier and tighter Make sure to choose a uniform that will comply to the school's requirements since some dojos require their traditional garments to have identity, There may be bands, patches or belts that come with this uniform.

Tae Kwon Do These martial arts require a uniform that is light and cotton pants. Its top would have a loose v neck. Light uniforms are usually worn by beginners because it easily tears apart. As one moves up to the ranks, one would want to buy a new uniform that is tougher. Again, select a uniform that would fit the requirement of your school. Many schools would have their own logo which they want to put in your uniform.

Kendo For Kendo, one must wear the Keiko gi. This gi is made out of quilted fabric that is meant to stand blows from an enemy. These uniforms are available in white or indigo blue. Again, check your school's requirements. The HAKAMA or the pants may look like a skirt with pleats.

The pleats of the hakama symbolize the six fundamental virtues: Jin - mercy Gi - righteousness Rei - etiquette Chin - intelligence Shin - trust Makoutu Chu Ko - loyalty and allegiance In getting your uniform, be sure to try fitting it or when ordering online use a size chart as a guide. Take your own measurements and compare it with the guide. Keep mindful of your uniform and your first uniform won't be your last.

Choose first a cheaper martial arts uniform if you're on a budget and then just make your way to the best quality as you proceed. The important factor is to have a uniform that is acceptable by your school or dojo.

The tournaments that are held by the USAT are big and nationwide and many famous martial artists attend the events.
