Pulse Oximeter used by runners for monitoring their heart and oxygen levels
Runners are some of the most dedicated and fit individuals in the field of sports and recreation. They truly try to push their body's to the limits of health and endurance in order to drive themselves to new levels of health and fitness. One of the most important things that need to be monitored by these individuals is their pulse rate as well and blood oxygen saturation or oxygen levels. A Pulse oximeter is a great way to monitor your vital signs when running and training to increase your fitness levels. What you essentially have to do is to simply get the pulse oximeter devices that are known as the wrist pulse oximeter devices. These devices are made specifically for runners and wrap around the wrist of an individual using Velcro. The Velcro design will ensure that the device will not fall of the hand of the individual runner and become damaged.
As the runner is running and exercising the device will continuously calculate and record the runner's pulse rate and blood oxygen saturation. If for any reason the pulse rate or oxygen levels fall or rise to abnormal levels then the device will start beeping and alarming in order to show the runner that they may be putting too much pressure on their body and as such they should stop down or slow down. The oximeter device can at many times save lives. Those with minor heart conditions or lung conditions may not realize that by pushing their body's to the extreme may actually be causing them severe danger and as such a pulse oximeter is a great way of making sure that they are functioning at normal levels. The other function that the pulse oximeter provides is that it will record on its memory a history of the pulse rate and oxygen levels of the individual runner. The athlete then can go home and download the information onto their computer in order to see their progress in health. This will actually be a great way for the athlete to gauge their improvement in health and running. The oximeter devices are very portable and also cost effective way of monitoring your health during running. You can take the device wherever you desire to go and monitor you health.
