Ask any guy what they want to achieve from their training and 99 times out of 100 they will tell you rock hard abs and massive biceps. After all the main reason men workout is so that they look better and what do people see more than your abs and your guns? Or a better question what else are you likely to show off other than your abs and your guns!
So in this article I am going to recommend some great barbell exercises that will seriously increase the size of your bicep muscles so that you can be proud of what you have. If you do not have a barbell I recommend you definitely invest in some you will be glad you did when you have those massive biceps you have been working on.
Barbell Excercise 1: - Bicep Drag Curl
The bicep drag curl has a relatively short range of motion but is an absolutely powerful exercise nonetheless.
To do this Keep shoulders and elbows back. The bar should literally slide (drag) up and down the front of the body.
Barbell Exercise 2: - Reverse Barbell Curl
The Reverse Barbell Curl will workout both your biceps and forearms at the same time allowing you a more balanced arm growth. To start this you need to grab the barbell with an over hand grip. with your hands just over shoulder width apart. You hold the barbell down with outstretched arms and then curl the bar upwards as far as it will go. Then you lower the bar back to starting position. That is one rep.
