How To Lose Fat And Gain Muscle By Following The 11 Secrets Of Proper Exercise, Part 2
These are secrets 4-6 from the 11 secrets of proper exercise. As this is part 2 of the series, it is advisable that you read part 1 first. And do not forget that you need to implement these secrets on a regular basis for them to work out. Here they are:
Secret No4:
Perform 1 set of each exercise in your routine to momentary muscular failure, or as close to it as possible. You may try a second set, but 1 set is all that is necessary for maximum results.
This is an essential secret, so I am going to repeat it. Do not perform 3, do not perform 2, perform ONLY ONE set of each exercise. In order to make this one set sufficient, however, you would need to really load up on some heavy weights. Work it slowly and deliberately, exert yourself, and in this way you would not need another set of each exercise.
Secret No5:
Perform 8-10 repetitions per exercise, using a slow cadence of approximately 2-3 seconds on the positive or lifting portion of the movement and 3-4 seconds on the negative or lowering portion. Hold the resistance in the top and bottom positions for approximately one second.
It is essential that you understand these directions, so go back and read them until you completely comprehend them. Then go and apply them in your workout. And remember, once again, no more than 10 reps per set, slowly lifting, and even more slowly lowering the weights. In the end, it is essential to hold the resistance in the top and bottom positions. Now, can you see how only one set per exercise would be enough?
Secret No6:
Keep rest between sets/exercises to a minimum. 30-60 seconds between exercises is an ideal zone for achieving tremendous cardiovascular benefit.
Apart from building muscle, we also want to burn fat as well, right? This secret is essential for achieving that result. By not giving your body excessive rest between exercises, you stimulate it to burn even more calories than usually. This would lead to a better and bigger cardiovascular benefit than any of the usual cardios such as jogging could offer you. Try it out and then you will know!
