Sun Hats: The Ideal Protection For Those Hot Summer Holidays

Hats have been in vogue since time immemorial. These accessories have never really been considered passé, from fashion hats like Trilby hats to utilitarian ones like sun hats these have always been in demand and sported not only by common men and women but also by celebrities all over the world. An effective sun hat should have a UPF rating of 50 or more, the brim should also be sufficiently wide to ensure maximum protection. A 4 inch brim is generally considered sufficient for most purposes. This brim should ideally be angled downwards for shading your face to the fullest.

 

While sun hats have a practical purpose there are other hats like the Trilby hats which are worn by the fashion conscious people of the world. Trilby hats have a long and chequered past. They came into existence as early as 1894. Trilby hats have a narrow brim which runs all the way round the hat. The crown of a Trilby hat has a deep indent and the front has a pinched in look. These hats are made out of an extremely soft felt material and even the brim is soft and floppy.

 

Trilby hats are extremely versatile and are worn by very diverse group of people. The common man going to the market to the celebrity going for his Oscar nomination, all have been seen sporting Trilby hats.
