The Role Of Neptune For Detoxifying Your Body & The Healing Power Of Far Infrared Sauna
The temple of your soul- your body needs attention!
Last week additionally to the New Moon, we had four other planets in Pisces infusing the week with Neptunian spirit and an invitation for a deepening inner orientation and focus. I have discussed the general qualities of Pisces and the spiritual dimension of the 12th sign in the evolution of the zodiac. This week we still have the Sun, Venus, Jupiter and Uranus in Pisces as well as Neptune conjoining Mercury. You could say the stars are in perfect alignment for us now to tend to the healing dimension of Pisces as well as the spiritual dimension.
Neptune rules Pisces and, with Jupiter, the 12th House (the Personal Connection with the Divine & the Invisible Realms). In the body Neptune rules the feet, pineal gland, thalamus, psychological neuroses, and unresolved illnesses.
Neptune
Neptune is the Roman god of the sea (Greek Poseidon), reflected in the deep blue color of the planet. This is not a very literal or concrete planet. It is associated with many nonmaterial, sometimes nebulous and transcendent principles: religion and spirituality, fantasy, imagination, creativity in art and music, idealism, compassion, love, higher states of consciousness and connectedness to the divine, mysticism, and psychic phenomena. And it is also representing poison, drugs, toxins, gases, addictions, and degenerative, the life force diminishing influences.
Individuals under the influence of Neptune may be drawn to careers and activities that afford withdrawal into the self, such as monks or nuns. Neptune at its best supports our strivings toward inspiration, service and insight, but its negative influence is associated with addiction, weakness, illusions, and deception.
Highlights of the week:
• Mercury Neptune conjunction in Aquarius
• Sun joins Jupiter at 9 degrees Pisces
• Moon is in flexible Gemini, moves into emotional Cancer and then into analytical Virgo
Your Body is Your Temple: And it is High Time for Some House Cleaning
Last week after a month of delay in the postal system I finally got the book Detoxify or Die by Sherry Rogers, M.D. I had ordered, probably because it was just the right time for me. I read it twice in 5 days. Having accumulated many symptoms over the years starting with debilitating migraines and headaches on a regular base, arthritis in my hands, severe allergies, skin problems, Candida and other things I have tried on and off different approaches to detox and clean out my body. I have experimented with all kinds of healthy diets and cleansings which have not provided me with a break through experience of getting much better. I even did colonics for 10 days ending with a profound liver cleanse, okay I won’t get into that right now… (If you like to read a real fun description of a liver cleanse Arjuna Ardagh did a great article on his liver cleanse)
Let’s just say I am still motivated to find easy ways to get better and improve my health. Reading the book Detoxify or Die has been very inspiring and got me into action. I often have been very frustrated in the past with reading health books because just realizing the extent of our environmental pollution and toxic exposure through air, water, food made me feel very helpless and angry. And the offered solutions seemed to be very expensive, hard to do and often made me go through major activations of my symptoms. I often ended up in that place of overwhelm and frustration; I knew I should detox more in depth but felt unable to follow through with the offered solutions. Have you ever been there?
When I read this book many bits and pieces of information I already had were falling into place for me.
The Far Infrared Sauna Offers Hope
This is not just another book about how bad our toxicity level is because of our life style and toxic exposure we cannot avoid, it actually gives a pretty simple way to detox and clean out the temple for our divine soul. The message is to use the new technology of the Far Infrared Sauna and sweat it all out. (You want to read the book because you need to replenish your minerals and nurse the process along with supplement.) It is a long term approach for deep detox without overloading the detox organs like liver, kidneys, lymphatic system and blood and reactivating drug symptoms or stimulating healing crisis. It elevates your mood (raising your endorphins) and makes you feel very relaxed and so clean… I love it!
What Makes the Infrared Sauna Different?
Infrared Sauna contains the lowest end of spectrum of wavelength with the longest and most healing rays. This sauna works on a significantly lower temperature then normal sauna, between 100-150 F compared to dry or Finnish Sauna at 160-200 F. It induces 2-3 times the sweat volume then the regular sauna. It slips in through the backdoor and pulls chemicals out of subcutaneous fat layers under the skin. It lowers lactic acid, kills bacteria and parasites, penetrates tissues, reduces swelling, improves lymphatic flow, attracts calcium to cell membranes, detoxifies by vibrating ionic bonds and reduces the size of water clusters by creating a resonance dance between water and chemical molecules; it facilitates water in moving stored toxins out of the cell and into the sweat.
In research done at the Mayo clinic it has improved the cardiac status of people who were at the end of their therapeutic ropes. People who have not been able to even tolerate a hot bath were able to slowly detox with this sauna. As you know I am not a doctor but I thought this information is worth to be shared and looked into.
I am on the sauna program for 4 weeks now, since I heard from a friend about the book. I am doing it 3 times a week and my arthritis feels much better. Otherwise I cannot say much beside it really feels good and right to do it. I will give you report later on and would love to hear about your experiences as well.
I just thought how very fitting this is to all the Pisces activities this month.
Mercury Conjunction Neptune in Aquarius on Saturday 27
In Aquarius we have the availability of new technology, with Neptune we have the theme of unresolved drugs, illnesses and toxicity and with Mercury we put our mind in gear and in line with our deepest intuition and inner guidance reflected in the outside world. I think it is a no brainer to see the connection between toxicity and the inability of an overloaded body to function for optimum wellness. The real question is: what can you do about it? The answer is: BE SMART!
You cannot leave your health in the hands and responsibility of doctors and the medical system which leans towards putting more drugs into your system, with more overload and many side effects. I don’t even want to get into the financial interest of the pharmaceutical industry, their greed and power plays. But it is obvious that you have to be wise, educate yourself and take action steps accordingly.
Wellness and health is a journey in progress, you have to constantly adjust your thinking, your emotions, learn new ways and fine tune appropriate steps of action for yourself. Meditation, relaxation, wholesome food and the right exercise program for you have to be custom tailored for you and your needs. And you are the only person who can really do that!
Sun Joins Jupiter at 9 degrees Pisces
When we have the Sun Jupiter conjunction on Sunday 28 we will feel the enthusiasm and positive outlook we will need to step up to the plate. Jupiter is well known for his overview and way to put things into a higher perspective. He represents the principle of expansion and growth and you can use this for your health. Get started! Take a first step, read the book, make yourself smart and think about your own personal wellness program you want to implement this month. If you have real health issues you want to talk to a doctor or health practitioner and get additional support from an expert with this.
Make Your Health Your Priority!
The Moon’s positions this week work very well for this. Gemini loves to read and get informed. Cancer likes to eat well and turns more inwards then usual. And Virgos are health oriented and pay close attention to the details of it.
I suggest you take some time for yourself with your journal and do some thinking and decide on some new goals. Ask yourself some questions like:
• Are you happy with your state of health?
• Do you feel fresh and energized when you wake up in the morning?
• Do you have any symptoms of pain?
• Is your thinking clear and your memory sharp?
• Do you exercise?
• How is your digestion?
• Does your body smell? Do you need to use deodorant?
• How much processed food is in your diet? Sodas, Cokes…
• Do you eat fresh unprocessed food like salads and fruits on a regular base?
• Do you drink 2 quarts of water a day?
• Do you do a yearly cleanse to pamper your body and help him to recharge?
• And many more…
Don’t get frustrated! Use the answers to these questions to motivate yourself and decide right now what you want to do. Decide on 3 action steps you will do this week. The state of your health is something you have the power to improve and change in your life. I personally love the sauna detox process because it makes me feel good. I found a spa close by with a Far Infrared Sauna and I spend quality time with my girlfriends hanging out together sweating.
Or as Abraham-Hicks puts it: “There is no state of physical decline or damage that you could not recover from--none--not any, if you knew it... If you wanted it and knew that you could. And that's those miracles that they talk about every day. They're not miracles at all, they are the natural order of things. But because they are rare, people think they are miraculous. They're not. That's the way it is supposed to be. You're supposed to thrive.”

Did Muhammad Exist? (Hardcover) $31.87 Are jihadists dying for a fiction? Everything you thought you knew about Islam is about to change. In Did Muhammad Exist? best-selling author Robert Spencer meticulously examines historical records, archaeological findings, and pioneering new scholarship to reconstruct what can be known about Muhammad, the Qur`an, and the early days of Islam. He uncovers evidence that calls into question fundamental assumptions made even by non-Muslims. Did Muhammad Exist? reveals: The earliest biographical material about Muhammad dates from 150 years after the traditional date of his death. Neither the Arab conquerors of the seventh century nor the people they conquered made any mention of Muhammad, the Qur`an, or Islam for fully six decades. Recent scholarship indicating that the Qur`an was constructed from existing materials?including a pre-Islamic Christian text. Numerous archaeological indications that Islam as a religion was fashioned for political reasons. Far from an anti-Islamic polemic, Did Muhammad Exist? is a sober and unflinching look at the origins of one of the world`s major religions. While Judaism and Christianity have been subjected to searching historical criticism for more than two centuries, Islam has, astonishingly, never received the same treatment on any significant scale. In bringing to light the latest scholarship on Muhammad and Islam, Robert Spencer raises questions of global consequence. |

Finding God in a Galaxy Far, Far Away $10.99 Nothing in Your Life Is Ordinary Your present world isn’t supposed to be this small. You were made for something much bigger. And no, you don’t have to be an astronaut, or even a Star Wars fan, to live it. Finding God in a Galaxy Far, Far Away is not about space travel, or even a movie. It’s about rediscovering your sense of wonder—something we adults have successfully squelched from our everyday lives. But God never meant it to be that way. Timothy Jones, by way of an astounding, eye-opening study of the spiritual parallels found in the Star Wars saga, will make you a kid again. You’ll be marveling at the mysterious, laughing anew at life’s “coincidences,” and remembering above all the Creator for which you were made. May the True Force Be with You Remember when Star Wars first captured your imagination? How your longing for adventure propelled you to distant worlds and transformed you into a Jedi knight faster than you could say, “Luke, I am your father”? This same longing, once sparked by John Williams’s triumphant score and fanned by Darth Vader’s sweeping black cape, is your ticket to life’s greatest adventure. Join Timothy Paul Jones on an astounding, eye-opening exploration of the spiritual themes in the Star Wars saga and the truth will become clear: Like young Luke Skywalker, you were also made for more— much more. Rediscover awe. Revel in the wonder of every moment. And pursue all you were meant to be. It is your destiny. "The Force is strong with this one. I could not recommend it more." Joshua Griffin, Editor/Owner, TheForce.Net Manager, Purpose Driven Youth Ministry “If you own a lightsaber—or a Bible—you’re sure to benefit from reading his book.” Kevin Miller, author and reviewer HollywoodJesus.com “‘Awe-some’ reading that both delights and challenges us. A fun and thoughtful book for Christians who consider and enjoy popular culture and media.” Robert W. Pazmino Valeria Stone Professor of Christian Education, Andover Newton Theological School Story Behind the Book “The night I first saw Star Wars from the backseat of my parents’ Ford Pinto was the first night I experienced awe. It sent me on a quest that continues today. There is, in every one of us, a longing to touch ‘the forever,’ to sense the magnitude of the vastness in which we live. This universal longing explains why we ride roller coasters and tell scary stories. This universal longing for awe also explains why, after nearly thirty years, the popularity of the Star Wars saga shows no sign of subsiding. I wrote this book to inspire readers to relish awe and wonder because God did not only create us to long for awe, but also to live in it!” —Timothy Jones From the Trade Paperback edition. |

Far from Here $9.99 How long do you hold on to hope? Danica Greene has always hated flying, so it was almost laughable that the boy of her dreams was a pilot. She married him anyway and together, she and Etsell settled into a life where love really did seem to conquer all. Danica is firmly rooted on the ground in Blackhawk, the small town in northern Iowa where they grew up, and the wide slashes of sky that stretch endlessly across the prairie seem more than enough for Etsell. But when the opportunity to spend three weeks in Alaska helping a pilot friend presents itself, Etsell accepts and their idyllic world is turned upside down. It’s his dream, he reveals, and Danica knows that she can’t stand in the way. Ell is on his last flight before heading home when his plane mysteriously vanishes shortly after takeoff, leaving Danica in a free fall. Etsell is gone, but what exactly does gone mean ? Is she a widow? An abandoned wife? Or will Etsell find his way home to her? Danica is forced to search for the truth in her marriage and treks to Alaska to grapple with the unanswerable questions about her husband’s mysterious disappearance. But when she learns that Ell wasn’t flying alone and that a woman is missing, too, the bits and pieces of the careful life that she had constructed for them in Iowa take to the wind. A story of love and loss, and ultimately starting over, Far From Here explores the dynamics of intimacy and the potentially devastating consequences of the little white lies we tell the ones we love. |

Far From the Madding Crowd - $14.99 This 1967 version of Thomas Hardy's novel should have done better at the box office than it did, given the star power of Julie Christie and the visual and aural fidelity to its source material. Julie Christie plays Bathsheba Everdene, a country heiress who is loved by three different men: Terence Stamp, Peter Finch and Alan Bates. Convinced that she is the intellectual superior of all three, Bathesheba loses many early opportunities for lasting happiness. Finally shedding herself of her haughty attitude, Bathsheba unconditionally accepts the love of Bates. The euphoric exuberance of Nicolas Roeg's photography is matched by the direction of John Schlesinger and the screenplay by Frederick Raphael. Only the nittiest of nitpickers would complain that some of the medium shots don't match the closeups (watch Terence Stamp's clown makeup in one scene). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi |

As Far as Yesterday Goes [LP] $17.98 Typically, artists pay homage to their pop/rock heroes or an era that is special to them by creating collections of crafty covers. This is way too typical and unimaginative for the brilliant, versatile, and agile musical minds of Seth Swirsky and Mike Ruekberg, who follow up their critically acclaimed 2007 indie debut, She's About to Cross My Mind, with an equally brilliant set of originals that draw from an even richer, more stylistically expansive well than their previous work did. The mid-'60s Beatles mystique is still there, to be sure; with its feisty harmonica and shimmering guitars; the rousing opener "Caught in the Middle" is a contemporary equivalent of what might have happened if Lennon and McCartney had come up with sharper lyrics and a more dynamic groove on "I Should Have Known Better." Album title aside, it's just as much about the tomorrows that follow yesterday -- as in what Ruekberg, the album's producer, has called the "golden age of singer/songwriter driven pop/rock." The result is a delightful journey that allows listeners to remain in the indie world of the 2010s while drifting off on a dreamy, super-melodic bus infused with the pure pop magic of 1965-1973. Kids growing up in the 2010s might not remember a time when music was this charming, to the point, and infectious, which is all the more reason their parents should make them listen to it. The good news is that the vibe harkens back to an era where music was eminently hummable; the better news is that Swirsky and Ruekberg are not just great mood setters but excellent pop craftsmen. The two are very much the modern equivalent of Lennon and McCartney in that Swirsky has Paul's sense of romance and wistful optimism, while Ruekberg's got a slightly darker, sardonic edge. This synergy between darkness and light infuses the light-hearted musical vibe of the title track and "Picture" with creeping shadows and a few lumps in the throat full of sadness and regret. Happy, jangling guitars drive "Girl, Don't," but the pleas to extend the relationship belie that expected emotion. Similarly, "Sandreen" blends cheerful jangle, punchy guitars, and airy vocals with a story of love after the fact. Thankfully, there are also a few bursts where a sense of hope overwhelms all other impulses, particularly on the magnificent, sunny girl chasing sweetness of "On a Summer Day," the charming "healthy relationship" tune "She Grows Where She's Planted," and the cheery acoustic clap and singalong of "You Do Something to Me." Listeners could get so caught up in any one of these -- which easily merit a hundred listens before moving to the next -- that they might forget that there are 12 songs total. But the final three tracks are delightfully crisp as well, starting with the heavy-hearted/jingle-jangle Beatles-flavored "I Can't Forget" and wrapping up with the laid-back melancholy of "Genevieve" and the powerful, introspective search for personal peace in "Running Away," which features a gorgeous blend |

Design/Tomorrow is So Far Away $14.99 The British vocal group Design were an odd ensemble. They're sometimes described as soft rock, and there's a lot of validity to that categorization. Yet they were more idiosyncratic and eclectic than most early-'70s groups saddled with that tag. And although the wholesome-looking-and-sounding four-man, two-woman sextet had some of the traits of a manufactured group, they wrote most of their own material and did their own vocal arrangements. This U.K. CD compiles their first two albums, 1970's Design and 1971's Tomorrow Is So Far Away, onto one disc, with lengthy liner notes by one of the group's original member/singers, Barry Alexander (nee Barry Johnston). Guitarist Tony Smith (the only instrumentalist in Design's first recording lineup) wrote most of the material on their debut, whose most attractive features are the high, feathery female vocal harmonies. This has generated comparisons with the 5th Dimension (on the back cover of this reissue, at least), and those elements also slightly resemble the female harmonies in some of the more pop-oriented folk-rock groups, like the Mamas & the Papas and (more obscurely) the British band Eclection. Yet Design weren't by any means as soulful as the 5th Dimension, nor as folky or progressive as the Mamas & the Papas. With their orchestrated, poppy arrangements, they were more a whitebread act, and their pleasant songs fell on the precious and dainty side, as can be gathered after reading some of the titles alone ("Willow Stream," "The Minstrel's Theme," "Buttercup Stranger," "Children of the Mist"). Smith's songs aren't outstanding enough to command attention, yet the material's just a little too pleasing to fall into the category of easily ignored background music. It's soothing stuff that's best when it's at its folkiest, though lacking enough grit or imagination to appeal to many listeners who don't specialize in sunshine pop or soft rock. Smith left partway through the recording of Tomorrow Is So Far Away, on which just four of the songs are his compositions. That accounts in part for a change in approach which, though hardly dramatic, is noticeable. Other members take on some of the writing duties, and a few odd covers are inserted. Though hardly heavy, the instrumentation and tunes are a mite more forceful. Things are still on the wistfully upbeat, mildly folky side, even on a song ("Jennifer No One") that seems to be about a young mother giving up her son for adoption. Again, the album's too trifling to sound like it should have gotten a wide audience, but too substantial to dismiss entirely, even if you're not an early-'70s vocal pop/rock specialist. The cover of "Strawberry Fields Forever" that starts off with a cappella choral scat vocals, however, is more novel than enjoyable, though there must have been few (if any) other covers of "Man We Was Lonely" (from Paul McCartney's first solo album) at the time. ~ Richie Unterberger |
