Exercise Walking Dvd

This two disc DVD featuring Leslie Sansone in "Walk Away The Pounds", is an easy in-home walking workout for beginners. When I say beginners, I mean people who have not exercised for a number of years and are looking to ease into a simple, low impact yet satisfying fitness program.
There are some very basics steps used in all three of the walking routines. They are walking on the spot, knee lifts, side steps and kicks. There's also a variety of arm exercises such as bicep curls, lateral raises and stretches with and without the use of two pound weights.
Here's a brief description of each workout level.
Get Up and Get Started:
Takes approximately 18 minutes to complete a one mile walk. This is a straight forward and the most easiest walking exercise combined with weights for light arm exercises.
High Calorie Burn:
Takes approximately 30 minutes to complete a two mile walk. This is a moderate walking exercise combined with weights. It has a bit more intensity, more brisk walking and walking variations that will help you build stamina to move on to the next level in the three mile walk.
Super Fat Burning:
Takes approximately 47 minutes to complete a three mile walk. This has the highest level of intensity combined with an invigorating workout. You will get advanced walking variations and a more challenging exercise routine with weights.
While "Walk Away The Pounds" doesn't offer strength training, it does offer whole body conditioning. Another advantage is you can't go wrong; you can set your pace and modify your workout to your level of comfort. You can opt for weights or not, use wrist or ankle weights, use full motion or half motion range movements. It's your workout, it's up to you.
You don't have to invest in expensive equipment. A pair of good walking shoes, comfortable clothing and the desire to be active is all it takes. You don't need a lot of skill, but a bit of coordination is all that is required. You can do this in rain or shine and depending on which walking workout you choose it only takes as little as 18 minutes or 30 - 47 minutes of your day to start feeling great.
The only thing I recommend is taking a longer cooling down period. I found the cool down section on the workouts a bit too short. So take your time stretching to avoid tight muscles and possible injuries.
With a balanced diet of healthy eating and a fitness program you enjoy, you will lose pounds, burn calories and fat. You're on your way to a healthier, stronger and happier lifestyle. That's a good enough reason to get off the couch and get active!
**Please note: Before taking up any fitness program, consult with your doctor first.
