If you are a runner and are in the business of getting into shape, getting faster times, getting stronger, and continuous improvement of your running ability then you have to include kettlebell swings into your running strength training equation. Whether you want to shatter your current times or if you want to destroy your running competition in some sort of event or race then you have to implement the use of the kettlebell swing.
Runners Strength Exercises!
Runners strength exercises have to be dynamic in nature as should all strength exercises for athletic performance. As far as the kettlebell swing lift you have an awesome exercise that integrates hundreds of your working muscles while emphasizing the development of the muscles of your posterior chain (hips, glutes, hamstrings, shoulders, and back) which are all responsible for your running power. This is a no "BS" way to forge your body into a running machine and if you know what is good for you then you better jump onboard!
To execute the kettlebell swing you will need the availability of at least a single bell of moderate resistance. This exercise is executed by you literally swinging the bell from between your legs up to at least chest level like a pendulum. Serious knee, shoulder, hip, back, quadricep, and hamstring strength are developed through this back and forth continuous action with the iron bell. This muscle strength exercise is profound because you are hitting every key area of your body that is essential in the act of running through a dynamic movement oriented style of lifting. The swinging of the bell is done by you having to engage your hips and knees in a constant state of flexion and extension in order to progressively build momentum for swinging the bell or bells in the arc like motion.

The Effects of Exercise on Parkinsons Disease $106.74 This book explores the role of exercise in the treatment and management of Parkinsons disease. Detailed and thorough comparisons are made between various exercise interventions; including sensory attention focused exercise (PD SAFEx).
