If you can't fit into your favorite clothes anymore, you probably have excess fat on your body. The most common place on the body people like to shrink is their belly. Exercise for belly fat is an ideal solution to help remove unwanted weight and to burn off calories. You're probably asking yourself which ones are best to eliminate excess baggage from the stomach area. There are many to choose from that are easy and non-strenuous.
Easy Exercise for Belly Fat Reduction
In addition to reducing calorie consumption, it is important to combine exercise with your fat loss regimen. Eating right is important but it is not enough.
For this exercise, you must lie down on the floor (mat recommended) and make sure your feet are laid flat with hands on the floor at an angle. Take a breath in and touch the floor with your knees to the left side. Now take another breath and move your knees to the right side, touching them to the floor. You will feel this exercise working your belly. Repeat this procedure five times for best results.
Another easy exercise for belly fat removal or abdominal firming is to lie flat on your back and pedal your legs just like you are riding your bike. Do not pedal too fast. It is best to do this exercise slowly for approximately half minute.
Crunches are excellent exercises which are very effective. Just like the first two, lie down flat on the back. Your hands should be at your sides or crossed in the chest area. Both knees should be bent and feet kept on the floor. Elevate your shoulders and lift your back upwards leaving your legs and feet in place. For this exercise, employ only the muscles in the belly. While in the slight upright position, your abdominal muscles should be contracted and then return to having your back lie down flat on your mat. This exercise should be repeated up to thirty times. Beginners should start slow and then increase the quantity.
Belly Twists are very easy to do. For this exercise, stand on a mat or the floor. Put your hands straight out to the sides and bend at the elbows with your hands toward your chest. Twist your abs as far to the left as possible and hold for a few seconds. Now return to the original position facing forward. Next, repeat the process on the right side. The three sequences should be repeated 12 times and for best results do this exercise 3 times daily.
In addition to the exercises above, sit ups are another popular exercise for belly fat reductions. Many people do pushups as well to lose stomach fat and tone muscles. Running and stretching are also ideal.
There are many types of exercises that will reduce belly fat. Simply dieting is never enough or the only option. Water intake increase will also help to speed the metabolism rate and finally eliminate the dreaded bulge.

Sport and Exercise Nutrition $61.99 Now widely adopted on courses throughout the world, the prestigious Nutrition Society Textbook series provides students with the scientific basics in nutrition in the context of a systems and disease approach rather than on a nutrient by nutrient basis. In addition books provide a means to enable teachers and students to explore the core principles of nutrition and to apply these throughout their training to foster critical thinking at all times. This NS Textbook on Sport and Exercise Nutrition has been written to cover the latest information on the science and practice of sport and exercise nutrition. A key concept behind this textbook is that it aims to combine the viewpoints of world leading nutrition experts from both academia/research and a practical stand point. Plus where necessary there are additional practitioner based authors to ensure theory is translated into practice for each chapter in the form of either ‘practice tips' or ‘information sheets' at the end of relevant chapters. The textbook in essence can be divided into three distinct but integrated parts: Part 1: covers the key components of the science that supports the practice of sport and exercise nutrition including comprehensive reviews on: nutrients both in general and as exercise fuels; exercise physiology; hydration, micronutrients; and supplements. Part 2: moves into focusing on specific nutrition strategies to support different types of training including: resistance; power/sprint; middle distance/speed endurance; endurance; technical/skill, team; and specific competition nutrition needs. The unique format of this textbook is that it breaks down nutrition support into training specific as opposed to the traditional sport specific support. This reflects the majority of current sport and exercise requirements of the need to undertake concurrent training and therefore facilitating targeted nutrition support to the different training components through the various macro and micro training cycles. Part 3: explores some of the practical issues encountered in working in the sport and exercise nutrition field and includes key sport related topics such as: disability sport; weight management; eating disorders; bone and gut health; immunity; injury; travel; and special populations and situations. READERSHIP: Students of nutrition and dietetics at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. All those working in the field of nutrition and related health sciences. |

Exercise Biochemistry - 1st Edition (Book) $91.95 Exercise Biochemistry brings an admittedly difficult and technical subject to life. Extremely user- and student-friendly, it is written in conversational style by Vassilis Mougios, who poses and then answers questions as if in conversation with a student. Mougios does an excellent job of making the information interesting by using simple language without compromising scientific accuracy and content. He also uses ample analogies, related works of art, and numerous illustrations to drive home his points for readers. The result is that Exercise Biochemistry is a highly informative and illuminating text on the effects of exercise on molecular-level functioning. It presents the basics of biochemistry as well as in-depth coverage of exercise biochemistry. The book uses key terms, sidebars, and questions and problems posed at the end of each chapter to facilitate learning. It also covers metabolism, endocrinology, and assessment all in one volume, unlike other exercise biochemistry books. In exploring all of these topics, Exercise Biochemistry makes the case for exercise biochemistry to have a stand-alone textbook. In fact, this book will encourage more universities to introduce exercise biochemistry courses to their curricula. Having the necessary topics of basic biochemistry in a single volume will facilitate the work of both instructors and students.Exercise Biochemistry will also be useful to graduate students in sport science who have not been formally introduced to exercise biochemistry during their undergraduate programs. Additionally, it can supplement exercise physiology textbooks with its coverage of the molecular basis of physiological processes. This book is also for physical education and sport professionals who have an interest in how the human body functions during and after exercise. And this book is addressed to health scientists who are interested in the transformations in human metabolism brought about by physical activity. The book is organized in four parts. Part I introduces readers to biochemistry basics, including chapters on metabolism, proteins, nucleic acids and gene expression, and carbohydrates and lipids. Part II consists of two chapters that explore neural control of movement and muscle contraction. The essence of the book is found in part III, which details exercise metabolism in its six chapters. Included are chapters on carbohydrate, lipid, and protein metabolism in exercise; compounds of high phosphoryl transfer potential; effe |
