Do you have unrealistic expectations about exercise?

One thing we humans are really good to say one thing while doing another. never this more relevant than when it comes to exercise. Think of how many times have you heard someone say (or have heard), "I really need to improve my fitness level "or" I really want to lose weight ... I should start exercising. "

One would think however that if this person really wanted to lose weight, they would not do all they can to get there, including the exercise? If this sounds familiar, what happens between what you say you want and what you seem to be two different stories.

One reason for many of We talk about the talk without walking the walk is our expectations for the year are not realistic. Sometimes we think if we start exercising and for a short time, we will do with the problem and it will disappear altogether.

When you expect one thing and do something something completely different, you wonder why you bother at all and there are few things in life that we have a distorted view of what should be done for us that year. We expect:

? To lose excess body fat quickly. Many people expect to see results and the fall of the fat in a few weeks of exercise, even if it is not realistic for most of us.

? A program of exercises to be temporary. We believe that we can exercise for a few weeks or months, quit and it will somehow stick and the problem is resolved.

? Exercise our bodies change as we want. Despite the fact that most of us have a clear genetic trend from where we store body fat, we continue to believe that this will reduce certain problem areas with exercises.

? To see Results on our calendar imagined, not our bodies. The loss of body fat involves many factors, some beyond our control. But once you know you burn more calories than you eat, your body reacts in its time.

? To be motivated every day. You will not always want to exercise. It is up to you to motivate yourself by using all the tools, objectives and resources available. You need to expect that it will be days when you need to "dig".

? Exercise to be easy and fun. To adduce real changes in your body requires a lot of work on a consistent basis. This means an overload your body so it can adapt by increasing metabolism (Motor organs) by becoming stronger and thinner. workouts at low intensity are great for health, but will not be as effective fat loss.

? Expecting to low-intensity activities to do the job. Activities such as walking, jogging or cycling are not intense enough to make a change in your metabolism. Only with a good exercise program that contains at least 60% of exercise Strength and interval training that happens to give you effective fat loss.

Realistically what to expect exercise and eating better is just one way we sabotage, sending the year at the bottom of our lists. You can change this situation by setting realistic goals and take steps to make the exercise more important to you so that it becomes part of your Life is not something "you" when you feel you need to lose weight.

Your first step is to fix a realistic goal. Make a commitment and follow what happens. Commit to 100% of yourself and let nothing stand in your way. Stay account and keep a calendar year or a journal to track your workouts.

Take time at the end of each week to see how you did. Take special note of your successes and failures and how you can do even better next week. Also note how exercise makes you feel not only how your body looks and especially what the scales say.

Remember you work for yourself and your future. Exercise can help you lose weight but in the long term, you'll need something more tangible to hold on while you expect the physical results. Remember that exercise will help you stay healthy and strong and will make your life better and your future as well. About the Author
