Even though it has been around for the last decade the elliptical cross trainer can be considered the new kid on the block. Not intended for building muscle, the elliptical trainer has gained in popularity as the ideal exercise machine for cardiovascular workouts. It is designed to eliminate pressure on the joints. It eases the intense pressure from walking and running. There are many elliptical trainers on the market and each one has different specialties designed for the needs of the user. Some are manually controlled and others are manual or electrical and in some the incline can be controlled to design different routes. Most elliptical trainers are driven by the legs but some have a hand grip lever that can drive it just as well.
Proform 900 Elliptical Cross Trainer is Proform's newest elliptical trainers and is one of many machines offered by the company. It has two additional workouts and the pedals have the ability to be adjusted to the height of the user. Each pedal is designed to bend in accordance with the foot as it bends in walking or running and then adjusts itself to its original position. This design absorbs any impact during its use. The machine has five pedals that change their position to the way your muscles work and a dual design for upper body workouts. The Proform 900 has a pulse grip heart monitor and heart control. In addition, for convenience and comfort it has a reading rack and a bottle holder. The machine will hold two hundred fifty pounds. This elliptical trainer weighs one hundred and ten pounds, it does not fold, and its total overall size is 46"x24"x57".
This elliptical trainer can be adjusted to the height of the person using it which makes it very convenient for the owner in the event someone else wants to use it. It has a stride of about seventeen inches. The Proform Elliptical Cross Trainer is the ideal machine if you are looking to burn fat without injury to the muscles or in any way upsetting your metabolism.
