This is obviously not a designer's office device, just like the most similar models. According to our measurements, the copying speed of an A4 document is about 10 seconds. The quality of copied text documents can be evaluated as "excellent": the device tries to reproduce even the 2 pt fonts. The only drawback is the recurring dots on white margins of the sheet.
The scanning speed is 12 seconds for an A4 page. In the case of operating the scanner from the control panel, the Brother MFC-8880DN automatically open necessary software on your computer, does scans and stores the received data.
Printing quality of text was a little disappointing. The fact is that even in the 1200 dpi and HQ 1200 modes the device was not printing smooth letters. No matter how hard we tried, the letters were made of dots visible from any distance. Printing resolution only affects the shape of letters: the lower the resolution, the worse they look.
As for the quality of office charts reproduction, in higher resolution modes the prints look decent, but in standard 600 dpi mode, graphics turned out to be unattractive.
