Modern Warfare 2 is the best-selling game from Infinity Ward, and was one of the most anticipated entertainment releases of all time before its release in November 2009. There are several different 'classes' of gun - Assault Rifle, SMG, Sniper Rifle, Handgun and Heavy Machine Gun. Of these, by far the most versatile and most used is the Assault Rifle, since most of them are good at close, medium and long range. So which is the best Assault Rifle in the game? The ACR is considered by many of the top players to be the weapon of choice. Its main strengths? Unbelievable accuracy and virtually zero recoil. It's main weakness, however, is that it's the least powerful of all of the rifles, and you'll definitely need the 'Stopping Power' perk equipped in order to do any real damage.

The M16 is deadly at long-to-medium range, as you can take out an opponent with ease via firing a quick 3-shot burst at them. The accuracy of this gun is scary, and shooting people on a wide-open map becomes a joy as you'll feel like Rambo. The only problem with this gun is that it's not so great at close range. If you see an enemy coming around a corner and you shoot at them, you only really have one chance before they can retaliate and kill you. This is because the M16 can't 'spray' bullets like other guns.
