Tae Kwon do After School Mississauga

Magnitude Martial Arts after school program is a program where we pick up you children from their school. They are bussed to our facility. Once they arrive they get a vegetarian snack. The snack is vegetarian to accommodate all children from different backgrounds. They then change into their dobacks; those are the white uniforms that are worn when they learn Tae Kwon Do, which is like Karate. Once they are ready there is "Bench Time". That is when they are told to sit on the benches adjacent to the Do Jang. The Do Jang is the Korean word for the Gym where they will study Martial Arts. The class is forty fives minutes in length. There are two classes each day in our after school program. The class that your child would be attending depends on their age and the release time of the school that they attend. The younger children, 6-7 years old, would combine more of coordination skills training. That would include obstacle courses. They would be required to do push ups and crunches. This would help developed the muscles. In order to execute proper patterns in Tae Kwon Do we expect our students to have strength and endurance. We train them to reach a level of physical fitness that helps them achieve their goals. Unfortunately we do not have before school program only afterschool is available.

Karate, Tae Chi, Judo, Jukendo, mixed martial arts, kyokushin karate, wushu, kung fu, jiu jitsu, capoeira, are all forms of martial arts. We here at Magnitude are Tae Kwon do masters. That is what we teach in our afterschool program. We do not offer a before school program.

The afterschool program is extremely structured. Note the time frame.

Example of after school program.

3:15 pick up from school

3:35 arrive at Magnitude

3:40 wash hands

3:48 have snack

4:00 finish snack

4:00 change into white uniform

4:10 bench time

4:15 start class

5:00 finish class and change into school clothes

5:10 go into activity room or homework room

5:45 ~ 6:15 get picked up.

Children need structure. The schedule reveals how active the routine is. By the time you are able to pick up your child they have barely played. The 30 to 40 minutes that are allocated to playing and or homework are within the attention span of most children. They are relaxed upon pickup. They have just enough interaction between their fellow students to feel at ease. We take pride that our afterschool program is mentally beneficial to your child. Tae Kwon Do and Karate ar also very good for the development of their focus skills. Children must learn to focus in an educational environment. During class they are with their pears all together focusing on the master teaching. Children usually focus on sports better than other studies. See you at our after school program.
